The reason budgets fail is not discipline, it is data entry. Gasti inverts the usual app: the verb is bigger than the noun.

Say what happened

“18 for lunch.” “Coffee 4.20 and train 11.” Fragments are fine, several expenses in one message are fine, and it works with no signal.

Gasti writes the draft

Merchant, amount, currency and category come back filled in, marked as machine-written, with a confidence level you can see. Never an empty form.

You confirm — or undo

One tap files it. Anything Gasti did automatically can be undone in one gesture, and a field you correct is never overwritten by a later pass.

Safe to spend, not just a balance

Home leads with what is actually free to spend this period, with bills reserved and goals counted. Tap it and every number opens onto the records behind it.

Personal and household, kept apart

You are always in exactly one budget space. A household shares a ledger with owner, editor and viewer roles — your personal space stays private, and Gasti never shows a blended total.

Money in any currency, told straight

The amount you captured is the truth; a conversion never overwrites it. Gasti refuses to add up mixed currencies until a rate exists, and every converted line shows its rate, date and source.

A chat that reads your own ledger

Ask what you spent on groceries in June and get a widget, not a paragraph. Every write — create, edit, recategorise, archive — arrives as a proposal you approve.

Banks where they genuinely work

Connect accounts through Plaid in the US, Canada and UK, Fintoc in Chile, Belvo in Brazil. In Colombia, import a PDF, CSV, OFX or QFX statement and review before anything is saved.

Your data leaves when you say so

Export the whole ledger as JSON or spreadsheet-safe CSV, with original amounts and conversion metadata intact. Delete transactions, model files, bank links or the entire account.

Privacy

Private by architecture, not by promise.

Money data is the most revealing thing on your phone. Gasti is built so that most of it never has to go anywhere.

  • Your ledger lives on your phone. Capture, edits, budgets and insights all work in airplane mode. Without an account, Gasti is a complete local app.

  • The default AI runs on your device. A 639 MB open-weights model, downloaded only when you ask for it and checked byte-for-byte. No inference service sees your spending.

  • It can only see a little, on purpose. The on-device model gets totals from a deterministic kernel and at most 30 recent rows. Not your notes, not another budget space, not your receipts.

  • Cloud AI is opt-in and bounded. On a Plus or Household plan, Frontier AI receives the current message and compact facts from one budget — never raw audio, receipt images or private notes.

  • Bank credentials are never yours to lose. The provider runs its own secure connection; Gasti never receives your bank password, initiates payments, or makes credit decisions.

  • No selling, no ad targeting, no training. Gasti does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context advertising, or use your financial data to train a general-purpose model.

Gasti’s AI runs on your phone, so serving it costs us nothing every month — and charging you every month would be indefensible. You buy it once. Subscriptions exist only for the things that genuinely cost us monthly: cloud AI, bank connections and sync.
